Brock Lovett (Bill Paxton), American treasure-seeker, retrieving artifacts from the submerged ship. In his looking for diamonds he finds a young woman picture, nude except for a necklace. Rose (Gloria Stuart), 102 old woman, claims that she's the person in the picture.
